Cypher wins GDATA and ZOTAC in one weekend
The weekly held GDATA and ZOTAC QuakeLive Cups this weekend both went to Alexey 'Cypher' Yanusheuski. It was the first time Cypher managed to win both cups in one weekend, and proves the man from Minsk also can be competitive on a 70+ ping.
On saturday Cypher met team mate Adrien 'burnedd' Denis in the final of GDATA #17. Both reached the final without any real problems, burnedd was victorious over Madix and prox_pl and Cypher had the upper hand in his matches versus evil in the semi final and x1t in the quarter final. Cypher won the final versus a good playing burnedd with 3-1 in maps, taking his only map loss of the tournament on dm13.
On sunday Cypher had to deal with fnatic's Kevin 'strenx' Baeza in the final of ZOTAC #24, a replay of last weeks ZOTAC #23 final. Similar to last week Cypher's tactical game proved to be stronger then the aimbased playstyle of his French opponent, and with the same score as last week, 3-1 in maps, Cypher took his second ZOTAC Cup in succession.
