From 4-6 July
Serious Gaming will be competing in various tournaments at the ESWC Masters in
Paris for $65.000 in prizes as well as auto-berths to this year's global ESWC finals in
San Jose, California.
Reigning Quake world champion
Maciej 'av3k' Krzykowski will be representing the team in the Quake III competition where he has been drawn in group D. There the 17-year old will face ESWC 2004 champion and QuakeCon 2007 runner-up
Magnus 'fox' Olsson, USA national champion
Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson as well as the following other champion players:
Dongkin 'Dongjin' Suh,
Chance 'Chance' Lacina and ESWC Poland winner
Mateusz 'matr0x' Ozga.
As defending champion av3k's berth to the global finals is already secured. This will nevertheless be a important tournament as he makes his debute in Quake III competition after a succesful Quake IV career; in more than 2+ years of Quake IV competition only five players managed to beat av3k in competition.
